Shilo Inns Ocean Shores

We loved our stay at Shilo Inn. I read all the nasty reviews and have to say some people have unrealistic expectations. The staff are great and helpful in every way. They did say it was difficult to hire additional staff because not enough people are willing to do the work. The cleanliness of our room was 10 out of 10. Every surface I tested was clean, even in the drawers. Simply outstanding when you consider it’s an ocean view hotel. Everything worked in our room and the facilities as a whole. The pool and hot tub were both clean and nice and it was busy with lots of people enjoying them. I stayed at Shilo Inn 20 years ago and for me it was like stepping back in time. Yes it’s an older hotel now but it’s still a great place. In it’s day the Shilo Inn was a spectacular property and it continues to be a great hotel. Thanks to Shilo Inn staff for their excellent service and hospitality.

It's clearly set up for longer stays, with the room we stayed in (2 Queens) featuring a fuller kitchenette (sink and counter space, in addition to minifridge and microwave), a small dining table with 4 chairs, fireplace, deck, large bathroom, and additional sink and counter outside the bathroom as well. The room would be comfortable for a family to share and was not small by any means. The building is a bit dated. I didn't mind, as it was dated in a way that my millennial heart enjoyed. You'll find dolphins and whales on statues, lamps, etc, and a rather large fish tank in the lobby. It somehow felt appropriate for a beach hotel. It's very close to the beach and the staff were all very nice and helpful. (My review is in the context of the price I paid and the nearby competition.)

There's no breakfast or bar. Website may say different. They haven't had that in years. The only reason we went there is because they allow dogs. The hot tub was very hot. Which was nice. Pool is open tell 10pm, also nice. The best part they had a sauna steam room.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay for the past 2 days. The front desk receptionist showed us both respect and excellent customer service. Our room was an ADA room and was perfect for what we both needed. We will definitely stay again.

The lobby was really cool and the staff were super nice. The room needs some TLC but it was clean. Large spacious bathroom, the shower was hot with good pressure. TV with cable. The bed was firm which is perfect for my husband (hotel beds are never soft enough for me). The AC was nice and cold. Balcony was private from other rooms. Lots of restaurants, the convention center, and touristy shops across the street. The beach and downtown Ocean Shores are all within a short walk.

This was pretty much what we expected being on the low end of the budget places. We were there in late September. Looking at the parking lot at night it was a very low vacancy.

Overall would say 5 stars! Mostly due to service! Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and made it such a wonderful stay. Location was great right next to a main beach entrance. Rooms weren’t bad in way of mess but a little outdated in furniture and decor

This hotel was one of the best experiences with the beautiful beach and restaurant. Every summer our family would stay here. As to the current state I can not speak except there are so many house rentals that they do put a hurt on the huge hotels.
